quick wiring question

I'm connecting the water temp switch on the block. There are four wires coming out of it (the manual wire diagram shows two.)

One is pink, one is green, and the other two are white. Where do the white ones connect?

It's a 62 olds 394.

Coming out of the sender unit or the harness? If the sender unit, you have the wrong one. It should have TWO terminals- one for HOT light, one for COLD. I can't think of any reason the engine harness would have white wires either.

Sending unit. Yeah, I thought it was weird too. But that's what was installed on the car! I'll take a pic.

Looked again and those wires are NOT coming out of the sending unit but are wrapped in the wire loom no idea what they're from. So I guess I'll ignore them.

On the plus side, I finally got my ignition wired up properly. Feels good to finally turn the key and get the engine to start. Before I was bumping the engine over with the compression tester, which has wires that go to the solenoid. It's a nice tool made by AMTEST, which is the company my late, great uncle from Kalamazoo, MI owned

Anyway, I'm sure I'll have at least a dozen more stupid wiring questions...
