If any interest, there will be an Oldsmobile show next Saturday in downtown Waxahachie, Texas. Sponsered by the North Texas chapter of OCA. I was a charter member and president in 1990. Lots of nice Oldsmobiles.

Thanks for the heads up! I am a current member, but I am not getting any materials other than the directory. Perhaps I should check on that.
My wife and I are heading down this afternoon. Look forward to seeing you guys there. Other than a couple that live in Waxahachie I think you will have the shortest commute eldoz. NTX are you getting the monthly newsletter called The Rocket?

Glenn, no, I have not received any newsletters yet, but I discovered that my email address was wrong in the directory. I emailed a few people and got that corrected. I am getting emails now.
When I was in trucking I shipped load after load out of Waxahachie Texas. Dart container is a styrofoam cup manufacturer out of there. Pretty much if you get a styrofoam cup platter etc from a restaurant it came from Dart.
There were so many great cars out at the show today! Standouts for me were the Delmont 88 with the Police package, Glenn's '54 88, the '55 88, and all of the '68s Cutlasses and 442s, but truly, all of the cars were great!
My wife and I just got back a short while ago. Thanks for posting all the pictures. It was a laid back show as it was intended to be and we had a good turnout. Eric we would love to see you. Brain and Angie made it in their 83 Hurst Olds. One of many nice cars Brian owns.

Bryan just finished getting the engine and trans done on that car, it's pretty nice. Yes, they do have an assortment of cars/trucks. Bryan and I are threatening to attend the Oklahoma Olds meeting on 10/23 for their meet/greet/swap meet in Tuttle.

It was a great event! Will the winners be published in the newsletter?
Yes they will be. Since most cars weren't judged (owners choice) we just had some fun awards like best horn, best dash board, best chrome, best engine and best upholstery. I missed seeing you at the event.

I loved the categories. They made me go around a couple of extra times to examine the cars. Had there been a category for "Best Roadkill Car" perhaps I would have brought mine to the show, but I am not confident that it would have made the trip.
Sorry that I missed you, too. There were a lot of people having conversations, so I did not want to barge in to introduce myself. Hopefully I can meet everyone at a club meeting in the future.
That is a sweet car and the owner is original. He retired from Oldsmobile several years ago and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He ordered that car the Highway Interceptor (I might be wrong on the title but close) engine.
