Did you notice the one pic with 10 percent corn alcohol gas? I never knew that ethanol garbage has been around that long!

service station ding ding

Guys:
Sad to say, but that is a sound most of todays generations will never hear again, I worked a few stations in my day and that sound, DING-DING meant it was time to go to work and that meant FULL Service, Gas, Oil check and any thing else they wanted checked at the pump. Good Times!
Thanks Ron

I am feeling reminiscent too guys. I worked at Star Texaco in Jacksonville Ark. in 1972. We provided full service ONLY, were right off the highway and every car got the same attention regardless. No self serve pumps at that place!

The Texaco in one of the pictures is a dead ringer for one that I worked in as a kid , had to look at it for a while to see if it in fact wasn't the one I worked in. Neat post Thanks ....Lost in the fifties ..Tedd
