Extra cool . Would work well ok my Kubota lawn mower, especially with the tilt wheel.

Real question would be... why didn't it make it to production??? After 50 years all they really came up with was parking assist...

I believe I remember seeing something similar, maybe a few years later. (In 65 I was nine and just starting an interest in cars).
Maybe they realized that when the power steering failed you couldn't steer. People think they can't steer or stop when losing power now, just because they never drove manual steering or brakes. Be a little difficult with those little wheels.
Nice find Octania. I enjoy old car ads.

So popular and innovative that Mercedes and Saab tried it too. I think I even saw a promo for Chrysler trying it once as well. I had a paraplegic customer once that built his own hydraulic over hydraulic steering system that was so tight that turning the steering wheel from 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock was lock to lock on his van.
