Mystery Wheels ???

Hey all, last weekend I was visiting a fellow car guy in town when he showed me the rusty 1965 Rivi that he purchased for parts. It has really strange looking wheels with Oldsmobile center caps. I believe they are the 5 on 5 bolt pattern for full sized cars. They have steel wheels painted silver, with a chrome plated center ring where a dog dish would go, then a stainless piece bolted(?) around the lug nuts with a black plastic center cap that has a gold rocket emblem in it. Also they have stainless trim rings. Probably a 15X6 wheel. Any ideas? I'll try to get a picture next weekend. I'm still learning about the wonderful world of Oldsmobiles and these are different than anything else I've ever seen. John

Sounds like N82 Custom Chrome Wheel for 77-79 Ninety Eight and 403 or HD suspension-equipped 88.

They fit any 5x5 BP Oldsmobile and are a great looking wheel treatment but very limited market. Even though made for 77-79, I have seen a couple of mid-70s Deltas and Ninety Eights with them and boy howdy.

Thank you for the help rocketraider, they are good looking wheels. If I'm able to trade him something for them I'll offer them here to see if anyone is interested. One is missing the centercap, but I think everything else looks good on them. I tried google and couldn't come up with a photo. If anybody has a picture of a car with these wheels would you please post it for me? John
