LZ Coded Rims
LZ Coded Rims
I purchased a 1969 camaro and these LZ coded rims were on it all dated 11-11 and 11-13 LZ and since they are not corrrect for my car wanted to know what a set that needs cleaned up and repainted are worth? I have the trim rings for them but the center caps are SS so would not be any good for a Oldsmobile. Can anybody tell me what a date coded set is worth? I have a nice set of BF Goodrich tires on them as well.

Dennis, do these still have the satin chrome spokes with the rest of the wheel black? Many of these wheels are sanded and painted to look like SS wheels and once you sand the chrome on the spokes, you can never get the spokes to look right so they are then only good for fake SS wheels. What year are these? There is a code next to the first 11 (ex. K-1-1) The second 1 means 1971 so your wheels would be correct for a late Nov, Dec., early Jan. Built 72 Cutlass/442 etc. These wheels can be worth a decent amount if they are in nice shape with matching and correct codes.
I believe they are 14x7 wheels and they were made to look like SS wheels. I do have pictures of them if you wanted to see what they look like. My friend who is doing the car took some shots and sent them to me.
On the date code I see a M4 with a 0 under it before the 11 which I believe is November and then the other 11 and 13 that was on different rims I would believe is the 11th and the 13th day of November so they would be a nice dated set. Are these for early 1971 production?
