Ironic realization...
Greetings my Oldsmobile friends! I hope those in the Mid Atlantic region are doing well in the wake of Florence. Those of us in SE VA got by with some wind and rain, and that was about it. I put my Cutlass up in storage just in case, and I'll be bringing her back home tomorrow😀
So I was sitting at home last night watching TV when a random thought popped into my head. It was some 35 years ago when at the tender age of 19 I bought my first car. What was it you ask? Well, it was a 1967 F-85 2 door with a 330 2 barrel. How's that for coming full circle? To think that here we are 35 years later and I once again own an Oldsmobile "A" body? Granted, the F-85 was no Street Stormer compared to my '72, but back then speed or performance didn't matter to me. All I cared about was the fact that I had my first car, and even though it wasn't a red light bandit, it still had style.
Now, looking back, I guess you could say that when it was time for me to own another classic, I was destined to have another Olds😀
Happy Oldsmobiling!

How ironic indeed. I remember my first car too. It was a 67 Cutlass Towne Sedan with the same power train as yours. Only thing I didn't like about it was the choke was always going out no matter how many times it was adjusted. Other than that it was a very reliable car. Next one was a 72 Cutlass S and I've been stuck on them ever since.
