The only thing, and I don't mean to criticize the post, was the fact of the guy firing up the 72 Vette and hearing the great sound of the solid lifters. That was a one year only option. 1970. The rest were hydraulic cams. I know. I own a 71 LT1.

I just wasted ten minutes of my life scrolling to read yet another article "discovering" the W-43??

Once again, get a copy of the May 1971 issue of Hot Rod for a complete discussion of this motor (I was a subscriber then and still have that issue).

I did not know that, I thought that solid lifters were used until 1973 when the L82 replaced the LT1. I learned something.

Learning is good, I try to do some everday. Thanks also for the direct
shot to the W-43 69W. To get to the good stuff you had to wade through
all the other makes.
