yellowoneI have sold all my cars on Craigslist, Facebook and at least have listed on Offerup which all listings with multiple pictures are free. Newspapers for me at least were not an option although a lot of people still use them especially the little Nickel Nick and Exchange papers. I always state in the listing no phony checks and their shipper will pick the car up, cash or bank transfer only. There are a lot of scammers out there. Be careful, good luck.

Kevin, your Cutlas looks pretty sweet.

Thanks, Appreciate help with the language about payment. I entered it in a car show this weekend, and had some help with pictures. we were one of the first to set up in the arena. I will go Craig's list I guess, Ebay, and Facebook after the show.

Wish you were close that baby is beautiful, like they said if priced right you won't have a problem selling it. What are you asking? I would shy away from ebay, I have only had one experience selling a car there and it didn't leave a good taste in my mouth. Others have had success. It's not free so if you want to lower your expenses look elsewhere. I love how you color coded the ropes for your stanchions for the car show. I have some gold stanchions modified with wheels I got from harbor freight on the bottom and traffic lights on the top.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your comments, I appeciate it. That's just the problem. I don't know what to ask for it seriously. I look at Ebay and other forums and the prices seem high, but it also seems they sell. Ebay only charges about $55 for a 30 day listing. no other fees, at least that's what I was told when I called. I would really like it to go somewhere appreciated as a real classsic, not chopped up etc. I guess I am a kinda purist. I was thinking low $20s. If I am wrong, please tell me to my face.

$20K+ sounds a little rich, but those pictures would seem to justify it. Wherever you advertise it, make sure you have lots of detailed photos.

For whatever reason, the PM wasnt working.... so, I was just saying that the Original Post (OP) made it out like you were completely incapable of solving the problem without a daily newspaper to the masses or any other outlet to the world .... a veritable recluse in a wasteland ....

Then, come to find out, you are literally a full rolling greatest Oldsmobile showman experience .... complete with your own color coordinated fence.

hence, the "Quite a leap from OP...."

She is absolutely lovely; good luck with the sale!

Yes, I got an invite to a car show with literally days notice. So I felt it ok to try to take advantage of it. I went out and bought stuff just for the show based on suggestions of other people who ran the car show. The banners were bought and made 2 1/2 yrs. ago in the hopes of getting "in" to a show, then covid hit and my 5th back surgery in July and I am still recovering from. Yes, I had lots of help, hope to hell you never get old or have health problems where you have to lower your own pride to ASK for help. It is terrible to have to ask for help when only a couple yrs. ago one was independent as anyone. So to everyone, MY APPOLOGIES TO ALL.

you might try “hemmings motor news” and “auto round up”. Both have print and online formats, to best of my knowledge.

People will travel for the right car. All the Olds or classic car groups on FB, a well done YouTube clip, Hemmings and EBay. Present the car as honestly as possible in pictures and words. Detail it 1st so it looks its best. Show the good & the bad. Pull it out of the garage for pics and get undercarriage pics if possible, along with trunk, engine bay, interior, etc. Encourage people to either come see it in person or have a 3rd party look at it for them. When i sold my 442 a guy traveled quite a few hours and showed up with a bag of cash.

I would suggest typing out your listing in Microsoft Word or the desktop tool “notepad” so you can save the details and not lose your work next time. She’s a beaut! And I doubt you’ll have much trouble selling her. And I’d say low $20’s is low in my opinion.

I agree with Tim75, low 20's sounds low for the car, it really looks amazing. Is it a one owner car? Really well maintained and excellent condition.
