Ginger or maryann

Okay, this original thought I came up with may finally provide the most logical answer. See what you think.
Ginger knows what she wants to do with you. You know what you want to do with Maryann.

Definately Maryanne for looks, personality, 'girl-nextdoor' appeal, et al.

You do realize that a lot of guys on here have no idea who you are talking about. I would give Maryanne the slight edge but it really is a toss up.

After the recent age poll I am just damn happy no one suggested Mrs Howell LOL...... You Old farts...

I would have to agree Mary Ann would have a slight edge.... Ginger a little too vampy, and I couldn't see her handing me a wrench...

I loved Gilligans Isle

Talk about "old fart" those two are nearly 80 years old. Too old for even an old fart like me. I say "Dream of something real".

Either one.... like a screendoor in a hurricane.

Oh ya, The girl next door to me as a teen looked like Maryann, but would make Ginger blush.

I had a book on this show, written by the Professor, Russell Johnson.

When the cast was signed, Tina Louise was disappointed that she wasn't the star of the show. The producer (Sherwood Schwartz) said, "The show is called Gilligan's Island, what don't you get?"

Bob Denver was a serious chain smoker. They said he never stopped smoking except to do scenes.

Tina Louise said the show ruined her career. She had trouble getting any acting jobs after the show went off the air, because everyone knew her as Ginger. The show was in reruns continuously (like "I Love Lucy"), so as the years went by, and she aged, everyone knew her from this sitcom. When the cast reunited for some TV movies, she was the only one that refused to join, so they replaced her.

None of the actors received royalties. They believed the show was a failure, reruns weren't very common on TV yet, so they all just took regular paychecks. Over the decades, they each lost millions and millions of dollars as the show became a cult favorite.

Raquel Welch auditioned for the part of Mary Ann. Could you imagine Tina Louise and Raquel Welch on the same island? I'd shoot anyone that tried to rescue me.

In the 3rd season (1967), the series was still doing very well and more than holding its own against its chief competitor "The Monkees". The network said they would be picked up for a 4th season. But the network president's wife was upset that "Gunsmoke" was going to be canceled, so CBS rescheduled "Gunsmoke" in the "Gilligan's Island" time slot, and Gilligan was canceled. That's why they never did a final episode where the castaways would have been rescued.

And that's about we need to know about this show.

Okay WhatIF but, being a Munsters fan, when the network was deciding what show would get color and what show would get the axe...they nixxed the Munsters. And NO I don't want to know ~ Beverly Owen or Pat Priest ! Eddie: Julie Newmar hands down, preferably on me but, Jeannie was and always will be my first.

I heard some young guys at work today having an "Amanda or Casey" argument. I assume they were referring to Amanda Knox or Casey Anthony. A sign of the times I guess.

Alright now, hard to believe that Maryann is 20 years older than me. Ginger? 24 years older (she's 77) I Googled Maryann and if you squint, she's still cute, at least on the video I saw, same with her body. Lubricant isn't just for squeaky hinges or engine internals. Squint or not, Ginger looks either like Joel Gray or a canvas bag filled with hand tools. And...Mr.6698, Julie Newmar still has a killer body, definitely had a repaint but the quarters are original and unmolested. Meeeeoooowwww! Steve e

The wackey Jim Backus played Mr. Howell; he was also the voice of the cartoon "Mr. Magoo". Gal I knew lived in a fantastic house in Ft Worth that Julie Newmar had lived in previously. Just walking in the front door, with that knowlege, was a "Magical Mystery Tour", believe me. Yeah, I know, I'm one of the "older" guys on here, that's all I'll own up to. LOL!

You guys aint using your big head on this one. Mrs Howell is the best of the three, she's has millions, you will have plenty of cash to play with. Ginger is high maintenance and will take all the cash you have, Maryann has no money so she will be needy but not greedy. So Ginger or Maryann will cost you some coin, Lovey will get you some coin.

Plus you know what your gettin with Lovey, have you seen Ginger lately? if you did the deed with Lovey back in the 60's she would be long gone by now and you would have a sizeable bank account.

These people were on a 3-hour tour, yet they brought so much luggage, so many clothes, they could change their wardrobe everyday?

Why would the multi-millionaire Howells, who had dozens of yachts and houses, be on a tiny chartered crappy little boat?

The Professor could make a radio out of coconuts, dried snot, and lobster shells, yet no one could fix a hole in the boat?

They built stages to put on plays to entertain themselves, but they couldn't build a raft?

But the most unbelievable thing on Gilligan's Island?

You had two sailors, an egghead, a rich, dirty old man, and all 4 of them ignored the various advances of two smoking hot girls (one a red-headed Marilyn Monroe type), while on a deserted island?

Hey, how about "Charlie's Angels"?

Kate Jackson
Jaclyn Smith
Farrah Fawcett
Tanya Roberts
Cheryl Ladd

Cheryl Ladd had the most incredible body of all of them, Tanya Roberts seemed sleezy, but in a good way, Jaclyn Smith was stunningly pretty, Farrah Fawcett was a knockout from every angle, and even Kate Jackson was nice, although when placed next to the other girls, she didn't garner any attention.

Mary Ann all the way - funny how much I remember this show and still sing the theme song to my girls but looking at it now, WOW times change, I see there beauty then but I suppose any 14-24 year old today would think we were nuts dreaming over them

I liked Kate Jackson and Jeanie as well

What about Mary Tyler Moore!!!!!!!!!!

Or Betty Rubble

Mary Tyler Moore was SO hot in the original "Dick Van Dyke Show", but somehow, not hot on her own TV show, which was in color. I think it her hairstyle and makeup that made her less attractive in the 70's.

The Munsters : I was always a Pat Priest fan And the whole concept of her being the "ugly daughter" of The Munsters, with a name like Marilyn Munster, was brilliant.

Pat-Priest.jpg

She was also in an Elvis movie called "Easy Come, Easy Go".

Sorry to say Pat Priest now looks like my old leather suitcase up in the rafters out in the garage. But ya know, I respect her for keepin' it original. I give tons of credit to any of those girls who were expected to stay pretty yet, let nature take its course and gave the finger to the plastic surgeons. Or was it the producers. Or was it you and me?
