Fuse Ques.

Fuse Ques.

I just connected an elec choke to the car should there be a fuse in between the ign To The choke and what size.

and just added a set of rally pack guages is there a fuse needed to go in between the tach and the guage and if so what size thanks guys

I do know the tach fuse should be 2A fast acting type.

Not sure for the choke, because I have not seen a fuse on a choke coil. The one on my Ford goes right to the alternator.
If noone gives a certain answer, you can contact the mfgr of the choke or guess.
You can start at 5A (my precision guess) and work up to maybe 7.5, but no more than 10. Being a heating coil, a slow-blow fuse may be required.
If you can measure its resistance, I can help you more.

I'm not sure there should be a fuse between the coil and tach.

In 72 this fuse was specified in the service manual, not sure about other years...

I believe that's the power feed to the tach, aka the hot wire

worse case I can start to weld with it.thanks guys.Oh ya Rob thanks for the help with the rally pack did exactly what your pic said.Used the skyblue color but went a step ahead I also painted the speedometer which was alredy blue only the lens with the skyblue looks mint maybe tommorow I post a pic to show you how it looks.
