The cable I bought for my console shifter in my 1970 Cutlass Supreme is too Short. The eye to eye measurement is right at 27 inches but it is way too short. I have a 400 transmission and I bought both new transmission brackets. Any Ideas? The length for the dual gate cable looks like it would be a lot closer.

 

After looking at Year Ones site it appears I have the wrong transmission bracket. According to them the bracket I have is for a 67 to 68 transmission. I will be ordering the correct bracket and willo see how it fits after that
