Finally have it!!! :)

Hi guys!!

Just a thread to show you what I got in my mail today!!!

I purchased my 1969 Cutlass Supreme one year ago (details in my sig!)!
As I live in France, the seller I got the car from had it with french licence plates!!

He said he will keep the original licence plate!
Ha gave one to his best friend, and one to his daughter!

Wrote to him several time since September 14 and he finally accepted last week to give one of both to me!!

So finally got it today!!!!!!!

So GLADDDD!!!!

It's an original 1969 Calirfornia Licence Plate!
The last year California had Black Plates with yellow numbers!!
That's also a guarantee that my car stayed in California 45 years!!!

Maybe an useless thread, but wanted to share it!!

In hindsight, I wish I had made the lady give me the old Antique Texas plates that were on my car when I bought it.

That plate is actually from 1963. They ended that color combo run in 69.
There should be stickers for month of expiration and year on it from use, but it looks as if they have been removed for some reason.

Congratulations. Nice to be able to authenticate the history of your car. Thanks for sharing.

yes they use those plates from '63 to '69. That one looks to be from the front of the car for it has no tags on it. It gets beat up more for being on the frt. Calif requires frt and rear plates.
