So far the weather looks good! This weekend was the Englishtown swap, or should I say whats left of it due to track closure and the rain washout, and general lack of actual car parts being sold there.

 

I blew off Englishtown ( I paid for my spots, and was planning on being there ) , but near hurricane / tropical storm Ophelia made the decision for me….

I wasn’t going there for just Friday…. And those fellow vendors I know who were there, did pack up Friday evening and blew off Saturday and Sunday….

I am sure it was near empty this weekend….

Was there yesterday, great day weather wise! Less vendors than the super packed Spring show. I really didnt need anything but was hoping to get a case of Brad Penn motor oil which I did at a great price. Fun is in the hunt!

 

For all those who didn’t come to Carlisle yesterday, we heard ( much of it from people that drove through storms and monsoons to get here ) that points North and East —- New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Long Island, and HERSHEY
(37 minutes from here !!!) got SLAMMED with precipitation…..

Here at Carlisle, we got some overnight drizzle, some morning drizzle, one 7 minute period of light rain —- and by 10 : 30 A.M. , it was Done ….
Slight darker color gray of the aisles, no puddles anywhere, and 66 degrees — short sleeve weather for most, light jacket or sweater for some….

Attendance was waaaaay down, most vendors reported much lower sales , but thank goodness we didn’t have to deal with serious issues…..

and, Thank Goodness, yesterday , we weren’t all at HERSHEY to experience
that !!! Whew !!!

Today is going to be Glorious here at Carlisle… An absolute perfect beginning of Fall Day…

The only bad news —- a lot of vendors pulled out of here yesterday and last night… And, WHY ?!?! We know Sundays are a Ghost Town here —- but why are they ditching what could be a very strong Saturday today ?!?!
I know my sales will be more than ZERO (0) today , I know their sales WILL total ZERO (0)…..

Those who are coming, will find out that many aisles are only 50 % to 70 % full.
That is a shame, indeed…. But every vendor I know —- is still here…
