Factory or not?

Hello again, im just in the process of finding some new cloth for my 58 olds seats and i talked to original auto trim and they told me that my seats may have after market cloth on them, is there any way to find this out? What do you guys think about this? i looks original to me? Cheers, Piperman60.

I'm not familiar with the interiors of the 58's, but that certainly looks like a 50's GM interior upholstery.

I think people now see stuff like that and they think in terms of what's out there now - even thinking "OLD" as 70's and 80's - not seeing stuff like that on a regular basis - tons of the Olds interiors through the 50's had multiple colors and materials woven in like that - I think your 58 even had the 'trinidad' carpet (with the silver tinsel woven into it?) -

Only way to know for sure is to have at a 58 sales folder - or send your trim code from your cowl tag to SMS
