Exhaust pipe rubbing

I installed a new stainless X exhaust system on a 1972 442. I did increase size from i believe 2" to 2 1/2 inch. The exhaust pipe is hitting lower control arm bracket next to exhaust manifold connection. Thanks John

You may need to finesse it a bit. Sometimes a simple bend or dimpling, and you may need a torch to heat it. Or you may need to grind a bit on the bracket, pic's might help.

Thanks

Thanks I will go over options with brother, never thought of maybe grinding a bit. We did discuss dimpling, but wanted to do so without putting hole in pipe. My brother also thought of maybe putting a chisel between two to spread out. Were you talking about heating it before putting dimple in it. Thanks for your info and time appreciate it John

I was talking about heating the whole pipe in an area and bending it over.
