Wink door panel differences

The more I look, the more it appears that my '71 cutlass supreme convertible was ordered from the factory with white interior (instead of the stock pearl). I have not found any books yet stating that white was offered in '71, but my seats are original, and in the correct pattern for '71 and they are most definitely white, not pearl.

The seats are still in very good condition and do not need attention yet, but my door panels are a different matter. The problem that I am running into is that the only white door panels offered are all for '72s not '71's.

Was there any styling difference between the door panels on a '71 supreme and a '72 supreme? If not, then I'll just purchase the '72s and pretend.

Was it a late built 71?

Look on the data tag located on cowl. It is a 3 X 4" plate that will have letter/numbers stamped on it. Post a picture of it and someone will decode it.
The reason I ask is that I have seen a low mileage late build 71 with hints of 72 stuff on it. I highly doubt this is the case here but I am curious.

If it's still there, the sticker on the drivers door will have the vehicle build date.

If you post a picture of the cowl tag, there is a few of us that can help you decode it.

Your Cutlass is indeed a late built car, 07B translates to the second week of July, so it is very near the end of the model run. 987 means white interior with the centre armrest, but it doesn't distinguish between white or pearl white. 26A, means Viking blue with a white top. Other than the colours, there is no difference between 71 and 72 Supreme door panels as far as style is concerned. I believe both are Madrid grain.
