documentation....
Pontiac PHS and a Protectoplate are two different things.
All Gm vehicles back in the day came with a protectoplate. I believe they were available from 64-73. It came with the owners manual, and supposed to speed things up for service repairs at the dealership.
PHS-Pontiac Historical Sociaty. Is for researching and documenting Pontiac History.

As far as I know, there isn't anything out there that will give you the info for your Olds as PHS does for Pontiac. About the best way I know of learning the history of your car is to trace it through previous owners. Talking directly to previous owners (if you know who they are) will give you the best history of your car. Also, some state DMVs will give you a history of the car - when it was bought and sold (names are usually deleted to protect the innocent!) if you know the state, or states, where the car was registered. I went through the State of Oregon DMV to find out about the first year of my '68 4-4-2 (Lansing car). I also talked directly with the owner of the dealership that had the car when it was new (he specifically remembered my car as his wife used it as a family car (read "demo") for awhile) to verify what I learned about it. And I was fortunate to have the original window sticker to this car.
I also have a '69 4-4-2 that came with the p-o-p. I know the dealership where it was sold, the name of the first owner (have actually talked with him), and the name of the person from whom I bought the car. However, there's a big hole between the first owner and the person that had the car before me and I've been unable to fill that part of the car's history. I've looked above the gas tank and behind door and quarter panels of this Fremont car - no build sheet as of yet but I still have the original carpet to look under and see what's there.
I have a '70 Fremont GTO that PHS provided all the info (also had a build sheet above the gas tank), right down to the ignition and trunk key codes. The good part about this car is that I bought it from the original owner's son so that history is also complete.
Finally, I have a '71 Corvette of which I know its history since the summer of 1975. I'm still digging for the first 4 years of that car - it just takes time, a little research, asking questions and so forth. To this point, I have a piece of build sheet that's missing all of the vital info, and the name of a deceased person that may have been the car's first owner. Now I'm tracing next of kin.
Anyway, I've rambled on about this issue. There isn't any Olds-related "business" (like PHS is to Pontiac) to give you specific build info about your car. It will take research and hopefully you will find what you are looking for.

Sorry for the rant, I think that's more what the OP was looking at...
Chevy really has nothing!
I've been trying to confirm if we have the LAST LS-6 built, and have ground to a halt!
According to the LS-6 Registry it is, but, are all LS-6's registered?
There's another built on the same day at the St. Louis plant, but the VIN# is like 135 numbers earlier!!
Found a guy who worked at the plant on that day, who told me the person who assigned the VIN's, only had a little room to work with, but probably did assign the VIN of 220450 to this one, [LS-6 is 454-450HP] as that was all he could do to commemerate the last one!
Wish I knew for sure!

To answer the original question, there is no Oldsmobile documentation for model years prior to 1977 except for cars built or originally sold in Canada. The U.S. info was either destroyed in a fire or thrown out, depending on which story you believe.
