I just purchased a 1972 cutlass supreme and was wanting to put cruise control on it. what have others done for cruise, aftermarket or find nos factory cruise tia

 

You can retrofit a factory system, but piecing together all the needed parts will be difficult. If it doesnt need to be factory, an aftermarket system will be quicker to accomplish

 

nOS set ups are out there, I recently bought a complete dealer install kit for a Olds, no one was interested, I ended up parting it out. Even came with 10 prints to install.

 

Rostra aftermarket cruise. I install a kit on my 69 probably 5 years ago, and then another kit on dads 81 GMC. Much better setup than the factory vacuum system. If you take the time to study the wiring, you can use the factory on/off and set buttons. I mounted the cruise module on top of the plastic wheel house, inside the fender. Other than the cable going to the carb, it’s invisible.

 

X2 on the Rostra aftermarket cruise. I used PN 250-1223 kit and their turn signal stalk is PN 250-3020.
