Car Transport suggestions

Hi, I’m looking to have a car shipped from San Bernardino CA to Milwaukee WI, anyone have any suggestions for transporter companies? The car is a ’68 Eldo, non-running but rolls. I got one quote for $1500 which seems high. Thanks!

yes uship is good, I'll look through my records I have a couple of companies I used, a third cheaper than that - though folks do charge more for a car that doesn't run

At the end of February I had a '78 Toronado, non-running but moveable, transported from Georgia to New Mexico on an open carrier by these guys:

http://dependableautotransport.com/

They're based in upstate New York, but they work nationwide.

Cost was $950. $150 deposit at contract signing, $800 paid to driver when car was delivered. I signed the contract on a Thursday, car was picked up the following Sunday (three days later) and was in my driveway by the following Thursday. So that was one week from contract signing to car delivered. Can't complain about that!

I have used this service and they are speedy, dependable, gracious on their pricing and have good equipment and excellent drivers.

Thanks guys, Dependable quoted me $1450, Montway the same price. The guy from Montway said its the wrong time of the year to ship from CA to WI, he claimed the "snowbirds" are moving back at this time. He didn't say but implied it would be cheaper in fall. I'm really hesitant with Uship, a lot of bad press, but I'll check them out.
