cams in a 70 Rallye

He Olds experts.
I have the chance to buy my 1970 Rallye. It has been restored and looks great! Engine rebuilt the whole 9. The seller has changed the cam, put a larger one in and added a stall converter. He kept all the originals. I dont have a prob with having a larger cam in the 350 since I will have the original,. My questions for you guys. A how much of a pain is it going to be to it back to original when I want? If I have someone do it, how much am I looking @?
thanks
Cal

glad you may have found one. for the cam, they are not that hard to put in but will take a little time. the converter, you will have to slide the transmission back far enough to get it in and out. while you are there i would put a front seal in it. i don't know how much it would cost to have someone do it.

And I really wouldn't worry too much about a different cam but then that's me. How many would know the difference? Only a few more would care. I'd expect most 40 year old cars to have the engine rebuilt and if it wasn't I'd be just as worried that it meant it will need it sooner or later. So as long as the cam isn't too radical why worry, enjoy the car. just my .02
