Question 71cutlass seats!!😤

So I'm giving my cutlass a major makeover starting with the interior. I ripped the bench seat out (which I'll be selling shortly). Anyways I really lik the look of the 04,05,06 gto or maybe even some g8 seats. The front seats don't seam to difficult but the back seats I don't know. Has anyone here ever attempted this, and any advice or opinions can really help. Thanks

IMO don't do it. It never looks right in a classic. If you want the front seats get a shop to match the upholstery for the back seat.

My car now has a bench seat that I don't really care for. I really need a lil more room, I want a center console n I already swapped the granny shifter to a B&M floor shifter. I've seen online some seat swaps that look really good but idk if the hassle of putting em in is worth the effort

I like the front seat and have thought about a set for my 71 but if you do the rest seats you also lose a seat since no more middle. Not sure how many friends you take out or if you have kids. I'd just do the front seats and leave original in back. Have an upholstery shop recover all the seats to match. It looks stupid and lazy when you have a GTO stiched seat in anything other than a GTO.

I think it looks good in the front (minus the GTO stitching) and the rear gives it a real sporty look as long as the side covers etc still fit in there. If that's what you want to do, go for it!! (Just do it right)

Yea, i definitely lik the front set better than the back and I would get the seat reupholstered before I put them in. Replacing only the front and reupholstering the back to match is not a bad idea. Probably going to be my next weekend project. Eventually I'm going to paint the car gold and black or gold and white and I jus bought black carpet so maybe I'll do black seats and headlining in black with yellow stitching.
