Um, I don't think Atlanta is in VA...

Also, the "Vortex" engine would be a problem, at least for most folks here (even more so when correctly spelled "Vortec", as in Chebby). Probably cuts $1000 off the value in my opinion.

You are right. It is definitely not a good thing for the value of the car. But truth be told, I'd take an Olds with a Chevy or Pontiac motor, too. Better to have an Olds with a Chevy engine rather than a crushed block of metal that used to be an Olds.

Maybe it is just cause GM has had "corporate" motors for as long as I can remember...

The '70 front clip is a bigger issue for me, as well as the low quality of the interior and the new paintwork with only one of the stainless side trim pieces still on the car. Probably a ton of issues lurking in that car...

x2 - the car looks to be done to a very low quality with the taxi cab seat covers & the missing moldings.

Thanks... Heh, I guess everything's relative. I've been feeling really old recently realizing how long ago high school was. But even when I was in high school, these cars were classics.

Ouch!

When I was in high school, you could still buy a brand new W-30!

(And I'm talking about real ones with metal W-30 emblems. )
