How different are the cowl sections from '68-72? If I need one for a '68, is a '71 piece identical? Any differences between A/C and non-A/C?

I thought this may have been discussed here before but couldn't find it.

 

I guess I need to be more controversial to get responses these days. Would putting a '71 cowl in a '68 officially make that car a tribute?
