68 442 olds value

I know its hard to put a price on a car without inspecting it but wanted to know what the ballpark value of my 68 olds 442 is.

It is a 68 442 oldsmobile
400 engine
TH 400 trans
original matching numbers
45000 original miles
no rust
a/c car
post car

this is the basic info of the car.
Could someone tell me what the car is worth?

That car looks real nice! If the interior and under hood and under carriage are as clean and rust free as the outside looks I would say around 20k.

Gas hog... maybe about $1000.

Being such a nice guy, I will pay you 2x that for it, if you can deliver.

Mine was in similar condition, #'s matching, hard top, new interior, and freshened engine. I started @ $20k, two years later, $14.5k is all I could get.

-$5k due to Chevy wheels. In all seriousness, get it as orginal as possible if you want top dollar. I actually like Chevy rallys (my first car had 'em) but SSI's would make a better first impression on a buyer with that much spare change. Same with the side mirror.

Armchair appraisals based on one photo (or even a bunch) and not even seeing the car in person, much less driving it, are just plain silly. Not that that stops people from asking for them, or giving them. That said, I'm confident that the car is worth somewhere between $5K and $30K.

What would a car like this bring in excellent shape? Just wondering what it could bring if fully restored original? Is 30k the ceiling on this car?

Hookem horns are you in austin? And yea the chevy wheels would have to come off for max money but for driving purposes I really like those 15x8 ralleys.... beats the 14x7 wheels

What I see is a customized 68. In my opinion it's worth $20k tops. The paint doesn't look like the 68 Burgandy that I've seen, the windows look tinted, the hood looks like it has a black ch*vy type stripe (could be a shadow), wrong mirrors, and an auto never brings the money a stick does. Those are only the comments based on the one picture you posted.

I'm just trying to point out the obvious. Top dollars come from "correct" restorations. $30K is top dollar for a 68 442

The paint is candy brandy wine.... but the car is original numbers matching as far as motor and trans with 45k on it original miles. other than minor things like mirrors and rims the hard to find original items such as heads, block, trans are on the car.... which I would think is where the value would be.
