1970 Oldsmobile engine chart

Ever see this chart before?

Compare it to this one.

Notice something interesting with a certain performance option?

Diego,

All I can notice is that your second chart isn't large enough to read.

Oh, and apparently there is an entry for Cutlass Supreme under the 365 HP 442 motor. Is this what you are referring to (as in, W-32)?

Keep in mind that charts like this were released at various times during the model year and may get revised over the course of the model run as mid-year releases become available.

This site may shrink it too small because on my computer the jpeg is 1200 x 1600.

Yep!

That was the point for me posting this - to show the subtle changes in documentation.

Well, thank you for your contribution.
Good detail info
You don't reckon they messed with timing or inlet air temp to get exactly the 1.0 HP per 10 lb vehicle weight? *nudge, wink*
Oh no, just coincidence.

I hear ya, but I think by 1970 that rule was thrown right out the door . . . or was it? I only say this because Chevrolet had up to 450 horsepower.

I noticed the date on the one brochure without the W-32 option is 8/69, what is the date on the one that includes the W-32 option for the SX?

Did you mean to type November 1969, which would probably be correct for the inclusion of the W-32 option for that model year.
