Looks like it could be a nice California cruiser, but it is a 4 door and it could give an Olds the chance to have an Olds motor instead of a Chevy 350.

I know i was thinking about the 425 for my cutlass but if it's in good enough condition i may not want to part it.It may become my daily driver-cruiser.Nick

It's almost never good to see a car sitting long enough that it's sunk into the ground up to the frame. If it's been sitting there for 18 years, it's almost a certainty that the floors, frame, etc. will have significant rust. If this turns out to be the case, that would be too bad as what we can see looks pretty good. With any luck, it's just as nice underneath.

good luck, great engine, trans is too big though, theres one of those around here too, 1500 might get it, its immaculate, fold down trays in the back seat, too good to steal the motor though, i think the 98s came with around 360 hp or more

Looks like the end of the "road" for the old girl. Save the fender skirts. The 425 will have A-heads. They are good flowing heads with a one year only (425) valve train. Great engine. Switch-pitch long shaft trans are also good. You could shorten a drive shaft and use it also. Scrap price, it's probably worth around $500. Good luck. Ken

People seem to think their non running junk is worth a lot. You may be in the running, it's not a highly sought after car.

I agree but in this situation i got the impression it was an estate sale and they were taking best offers. My offer was the best i could give giving the removal situation. There is no way i can get it out of its resting place without a wrecker and a chainsaws assistance, i took that into account on my offer, when i talked to the seller on the phone he was asking 800.00 and when i asked him whats your bottom dollar he said 700.00.It's not a big deal i won't lose any sleep over it.When i left i told him good luck if you can get more take it,and my offer stands.
