Any A-body of the same body style (though I believe that the rear quarter glass is different on Chevelle and Skylark coupes).

You are right.
GM A bodies from 68-72 basically all used the same power window setup. So you can use Chevelle, Skylark, Cutlass, Tempest (T37) setups as long as they come from a similar body (2 dr - 2dr, 4 dr - 4dr). From 68-70 the power window switch plates are a different style than 71/72. If that doesn't bother you, it's open season on those donors I mentioned. Power window setups aren't cheap, so expect to pay up to 400.00+ If you're in the market to do PW, you might as well do Power door locks and power trunk at the same time, because you have to run the wiring through the harness that goes under the seat. Pretty much means you're going to tear the interior out, so you Might As Well (MAW) do it all at the same time....

IIRC, Big car power window setups will not work in A bodies

If he just needs the motor I believe the full sized motors are the same, just the regulators that are different. It might be worth trying the search option to see what old threads discussed about this topic. Sometimes I'm pretty forgetful, but it seems like Joe P. commented on which years and models of cars the electric motors interchanged and it was quite a few! John

That's what I should have said; it's a better description than "big car power window setups". Must be getting late. Yup....time for shut eye. thx John.

You can pick up used ones on ebay, but I believe new ones are pretty reasonable on rockauto.com John
