Hi guys , i have a 1989 98 Oldsmobile wow what a car .. well when i open the drivers door the main light doesnt work when i open the other side or backdoor it works. Any idea ??

check the switch on the doorjamb, you should be able to see a small plunger that is pushed in when the door closes, this is the switch I am referring to. Either the switch is bad or the wire to it is broken off or not connected.
