Accel Street Billet distributor

I just picked up an Accel Street Billet distributor for an Olds at Carlisle for cheap. Now it seems like the cap and rotor are no longer available?

In fact, looking at the Accel site, it appears that parent company Mr. Gasket is pretty much phasing out Accel distributors completely in favor of their other in-house brand, Mallory. Any suggestions for sources for the cap and rotor? The usual suspects (Summit, Jegs) show "out of stock". Accel doesn't even list the parts in their catalog. Thanks.

Isn't that just a small cap hei? If so, I would think competitor brands would work fine.

I was hoping for "I KNOW this fits" instead of "I would think..." before I spend the money on a different brand's parts.

It's a standard points style equipment inside. Points style caps and rotors - pick your poison. Or the points style cap with HEI terminals as available from other manuf, such as Pertronix. The Accel cap is REALLY flimsy.

Proof? I have an Accel billet, ran a Pertronix cap on it, now have a MSD Cap-a-dapt, which is relatively strong proof that the common parts will bolt on. YMMV.

Perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

The distributor I bought didn't have a cap, but online photos look like this:

Yeah it does and I know that MSD uses GM caps and rotors for their 'Ready to Run' models. Can always buy a cheap set and test fit

I'm just liking the fact that Joe has a question about anything...this never happens!

Yeah, but it's not an Oldsmobile-manufactured part, either...

Sure, and I have numerous previously-owned Delco window caps here also. My concern was the height of the rotor center contact vs. the button on the cap. Yeah, I could section an old cap and check it, but I'm lazy...

Just measure off the distributor base where the cap sits to the rotor tip then measure inside the cap from the seating ring to the contacts inside.
