Question 72 Convertible Alternator

Hello all,
Newbie question about the proper alternator for a '72 convertible. What I took out of the car is stamped 1102440, 37amp,1J9. The date code comes out to September 9th of "71 if I am correct. The car is a '72 Supreme and does have power windows but no A/C or H.D. cooling as per the service manual so I don't think I need the 55 amp. A 63 amp is specified for a car with a defogger or Pol. Opt. and/or other Opts. Since the car does have power windows I am wondering if what I took out was original to the car or do I need to replace it with the 63 amp? And if so what would the part number for the 63 amp be? I am trying to keep the car as original as I can. Thank you in advance for your help.
Jim
