My 1956 Super 88 Convertible is missing the trim tag.
Obviously, over here in Germany (pls see my introduction in the newbie forum) there is no help in sight.

Do you know if a trim tag can be re- created to make the car complete?
I obviously have the VIN, the body style for a convertible should be clear too, outside color is white above red, interior is red and white, rag top is white too.
I have no idea where to get the fisher body number from.
That should be the sequential number from the fisher body factory?
Are there any books to find the number relation between the VIN and the body number?

Unless the body number is stamped somewhere on the car, you will probably never know what it is. I don't think there is any relationship between the VIN and the body number. I doubt very much that any records about this sort of thing exist from the Fisher body factory because if there were, everyone would know about them and what a great resource they are. But we don't!
