Question Power window motor, remove and replace

Car in question, 1985 Delta 88.

Still in "put back together" mode. I have 2 power window motors laying around in my garage and I also want to clean house. Both motors and running very slow and look orginal. Looking to remove and replace.

Exactly how do I do that? Seems all the screws are inside the door skin. A guy at work told me they are all rivited in place and you need a riviet gun to put the new motors in place. I do not have, nor want to use a rivite gun

Also any little tips or tricks I need to know first.

Thanks in advance

You must remove the complete window regulator mechanism from the door with the motor attached. The mechanism has an offloader spring and if you remove the motor, the spring can unwind. Once the regulator is on the bench, you will need to anchor the curved gear to the mounting plate. The CSM tells you to drill a hole and install a bolt, which works, but I was able to use a C-clamp. Once you do this, you can remove the three bolts that hold the motor to the regulator and replace it.
