Delta 350 Project

Here is the up to date of what I'm doing with my Delta 88.

Recap: I blew the motor back in Feburary, and I did a ton of searching for the prefect motor and I found one, thanks to another member on this site.

Well I did a little bit of upgrading, and cleaning, now the 307 is out of the car (called my mech a few hours ago) and on Saturday, him and I are dropping in this Olds 350 Rocket with the 350 TH tranny.

Take a look:

WHOO HOO!!!

Like I said in the pervious post, I had to use the old 307 exhaust manifolds on the new/old 350 I dropped in.

I just looked it up and the casting on the right side is 17-22506300, which is awesome, becuase they didn't go to the smaller ports until '86, and this casting number means that these manifolds are 81-86 and share the same internals as the 350/403 manifold except with an O2 sensor port.

The only bad thing is I sold my a/f gauge, and I don't know what I did with the O2 sensor. I don't care about the a/f gauge, I like the EGT gauges better, but I gotta plug up that hole

Updated pics and sub album created I know in these pics, the motor looks slanted, but that was before the tranny was bolted up. BTW the tranny bolted right up, with a little bit of cutting of the bracket

Hey I really like what your doing with your Delta. I owned a 1984, but I sold it to purchase a 1978. Anyway I was wondering if you could offer me any help on building up and restoring my motor. (In the 78) Its the original 350 rocket with 67k on it. The stock numbers say that it has 170hp and 275 lb/ft of torque I would like to double both of those numbers if at all possible.
