1968 Cutlass S Convertible
1968 Cutlass S Convertible
1968 Cutlass S convertible, pref red with blk interior and blk top, prefer manual trans, but open to auto. Would REALLY like W-31. Want a "driver", not a show car...but as original as possible.
DO NOT WANT A PROJECT CAR!!!!!

Slow Day
Must be slow at the Olds forum....not even one reading of my posting....hmmmm.....maybe need to expand my range of sites
Any thoughts on other sites that delve into the mysteries of the Oldsmobile brand?

I think you haven't been reading the topic listing page correctly. While no one has responded, when I looked just now, there were 56 "views" of your posting.
You have a posted pretty specific request, including the colors you want the car to be. That's going to limit the number of people who might be able to meet your request. It's entirely likely no one reading your post has something like that for sale just now. These things don't grow on trees.

Perhaps Mission Impossible
The more that I research this, the more that I find that absolutely no vintage Olds source is aware that the car that I owned ever existed, so finding one similar is likely totally impossible. I am going to go back to the county in NC where the car was purchased and taxed to see if I can find the VIN and go from there. The history needs to be rewritten if nothing else to show that the car was made....
PS: what I ordered and received in the spring of 1968 was a Ram Rod 350 Cutlass S convertible, red with black interior and top, 3 speed manual in the floor, no A/C, 8 track player, woodrim steering wheel, blackwall tires, etc. Awesome car, would easily hit 5500 - 6000 rpm in a heartbeat. Had so much torque that I cracked three windshields during the 5-6 or so years that I owned it.
