WTB: Vista Cruiser

My standards are pretty low--Not looking for a show car. Just wanting a solid, reliable cruiser that runs, drives, and stops properly and is in fair condition. I'm located in Oklahoma.

You might try Calling Jeff at JSK Hot Rods in Cumby, Tx. At 903-994-2251. I think they have one for sale.

1969 Vista Cruiser

Hi,

I have a 1969 Vista Cruiser for sale. It's white with green interior. It's always been an Arizona car, so it's basically rust free (except some small rust around the vista window sills). It's straight, the interior is pretty well thrashed though. It runs great and the brakes work, but I wouldn't say it's roadworthy quite yet.

I have NOS red taillights for it and good replacement reverse lenses for it. It has a 350 2 bbl with AC, manual windows, power drum brakes, luggage rack, dual tail gate.

I have another 69 Vista Cruiser parts car and a 68 also, so I could get you alot of good extra parts....then 69 parts car also had green interior so I could get you lots of parts.

If you are interested, it's in the Bakersfield CA area. I want $3500 for the car plus will work with you on extra dollars for any other parts you would need and help with shipping.

My email is Dave442@aol.com and my cell is 661-203-6953. Between the three cars I have and all the extra Cutlass 442 parts I have I can get you a car with everything you need.

Thanks. Dave

Bumping this thread. Still looking. Sometimes the search has to be put on hold for other things in life, but for now, I'm back on the hunt.

I know a guy here in town that has a 67 Vista w/330/Jet-away amongst a large barn collection in that blue grey color (original paint in good shape) that is a driver and parked in out of full weather and know the guy just did brakes/brake-lines and all... I think he said it was one he bought new... I bought my 67 442 convertible off him reasonable and tried to get both but couldn't afford both at the time... the guy has a sweet tooth for Chevelles too if you had a trade

Georgetown Ky...
best guess I would say it is worth 5-7k by what I saw... body was quite decent and ran good interior was white I think... I know he did brake lines cause I asked what size he used on his at swap meet... he has a very wide ranging collection so if you have an oddball trade(the man has a buick hearse and a VW thing) or a chevelle he will trade

I am afraid he is an old school guy who works on cars with his son and rebuilds em for money... so if he has an email addy I don't have it... I can see if he's around today when I go into town and see if he is willing to entertain selling it... my buying the 442 off him was a car he horse traded for and when his son moved on to another ride I came along... this car is one he has had since new... but if he has a project he needs money for that is the right time... let me test him out on it... I won't lie that front end wasn't much rust at all... would love to have its fenders and hood... original paint still nice enough just to buff out... I remember him saying something about a seal in the back needing replace why he didn't want the rain getting at it... let me see if he will let me take some pics and talk to him... then we can go from there... bump this thread if you haven't heard back from me within a few days... they may be out on road trip... they sell at swap meets and car shows oh and half his collection is rag tops the more unusual the better

Update: I've found my Vista Cruiser, courtesy of our very own rt66442 here on Classic Olds, who went out of his way to help me out. Thanks for everyone's help! A long 2 year search is finally over.
