Weird question

So, I've got a buddy looking to get rid of an 67 Oldsmobile 88 for a good price due to a damaged front end. He just doesn't want to deal with it anymore. My question is this. Instead of trying to find a new fender/hood, which he gave up trying to find, would it be possible for me to replace the front in with the front end of a Bel Air from the local scrap yard? I know the frames are the same across the big body GM platform, but could the Chevy parts be put on the Olds frame? I think I could be a fun project for me and I could end up with a pretty cool item without too much hassle.

Thanks!

First I'm suprised the local junk yard has 1967 Bel Air parts but it won't fit "off the shelf" but a good body man could customize it but why? So where is this friend located? Parts are available. I'll leave it at that till I hear the location.

First, NOTHING from a Chevy body is even close to fitting the Olds. The frames are completely different, as are the suspension and brakes. Where is the car located?

A well worded parts wanted classified ad on this website will net you every part you need for that car.
