Core support

I'm sure my core support is out of square on my 70 442. I'm having trouble gapping my hood. Factory W30 hood. I'm fairly happy with the fender to doors gaps. I ran a string down the side of the car to check side to side. Got that squared, but just seems to be a twist in front. I measured off the firewall to hood pins got equal distance. Any suggestion's.

Core support shims?

Are you using core support shims? If not this might be the issue

Can you make an x measurements from the center of the rear fender bolt on the top of the firewall to the center of the front fender to core support bolt? If they aren’t the same measurement loosen the core support bolts and move the front clip over until they are. If they are the same move the hood on one side forward or backwards until the fender to hood gaps line up. Have any pics?

Thank you, Dustin. I'm gonna loosen things up and see where I'm at. I'll touch base with you.
Thanks again,
Chasmo
