Are 68 radiator core supports one year only?

unfortunately, yes.

Patch it if you can, or find a suitable replacement.

ALL 1964-1972 core supports are one year only. 1971 and 72 are very similar, but not identical. You can use a 72 core support on a 71, but not the other way around.
