What are a set of B heads worth BARE
I can take pictures and send them to you and I am located in Austintown, Ohio. I ran these in the early 80's on my 425 (drag car) The only thing done is cut for teflon seals and gasket matched (exhaust side)
I just sold a set on ebay with valves and springs, they had been hot tanked and magged. They went for $129. Mine were off a Toronado, have you checked the code stamped on the end? If the letter in front of the numbers is a V that's the 442 application and they will sell for more than mine did. John

$129--thats cheap john--I paid that just to have my B heads tanked and magged

B heads
Hi Mike
I was hoping to get more for them, but I have lots of extra engines, seven are 425's. I've sold a couple complete engines but due to shipping costs I've got many more available. I'm trying to sell a 1966 Toro 425 as parts on ebay right now. The crank, rods, oil pan, etc. are under ebay name 6970442s the heads sold last week. If it goes well I may tear down another one and do the same. I've been told the B and C are similar castings, but the C seems to be the ones in most demand.
I also have a machine shop that does a lot of work for me and gives me a price break. So that really helps. John
