Lobe Sensor

What is it? I was looking into upgrading to a Pertronix Ignitor and I came up with two PN's - 1181 and 1811LS (91181 is the Ignitor II)...

I read quick sentance somewhere but I just don't understand/ know what they were talking about... I've only had my car for a week and not even sure if it applies to it... 1964 Super 88 w/ 394 Ultra high Compression.

Thanks in advance....

The LS version uses the distributor lobes to trigger the unit.

The Pertronix II uses a ring that you install to trigger the unit.

I have the LS version - easier to install and less parts to fail.

Be sure to run a full 12 volts to the coil, and use thier matching coil.
