Harmonic Balancer...HELP
My Harmonic bal on the 455 is wobbling.
From all I have seen in the catologs they are the same application for
260-455 .... others list 350-455
However the one on my 330 is about 3/4" wide and the one on the 455 is about 1-1/4".
I don't know what the difference is between the 2
(besides the thickness )

No. It would probably physically fit, but it is not correct for the 68-up engines like the 455.
The way balancers are divided for Olds engines:
'64 330 only
'65-67 all (330, 400E, 425)
'68-up all (350, 400G, 455, 403, 260, 307)

What is the difference between a Damper and a balancer ?
Any recomendations ?
I was looking at this cheap one (balancer) :

Which one depends on the intended usage.
Assuming this is a street car and won't be raced or see high RPM often, the Dorman one you posted will work fine. A reman factory one is probably even better.
For a high performance application, I'd want to use something better.

Gonna be a street car thats get beat on now and then.
Where can I get a reman one ?
