Distributor restamp?

Hmmm....

I do not know any of these sellers, and I am certainly not asserting monkey business on the part of any seller, but take a peek at the FULLY MACHINED number surface on this rare item

seller k.weaverfamily shows a "1970 442 W30 4 speed distributor. Part # 1111977. Dated 0B23. Cam # 722. Vacuum advance # MS 427 16."

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-OLDS-OL...7851ac&vxp=mtr

vs the AS CAST number surface on all the not-rare, no reason to fake-stamp distributors in my pile, and these rare birds:

seller "s.m.d._ent" can't seem to decide what his date code is, the photos do not match the ad text at all.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tchlink:top:en

Seller "bobjeb" shows a cast surface 1111470 UHV K66 unit, looks legit as compared to my pile of not so rares and UHV's

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tchlink:top:en

Brian, others who might know- did they start machining the entire surface around 1969 or so? Any of these stamps look incorrect?

Anyone who spends $3500 for a distributor needs to contact me. I have a cylinder of NOS "Original Air" to inflate their tires!

yes, but do you have the indexing tool to properly position the seam in the tire stem cap?

Some day my car will be the only genuine non-matching numbers one out there and will be worth a fortune!

I think it's legit, also. This guy just has a lot of rare stuff. An NOS Buick 8 track deck? When searching for parts I've come across him before with rare stuff.
