Cool documentation, but bad news. The "R" in the VIN indicates that the car was built at the Arlington, TX assembly plant. All factory-built W-30s were assembled at the Lansing, MI plant. Sorry.

Like I said in the other thread.....I've never seen a 68-69 W30 with a build sheet. There are plenty of BOP plant cars with them though.....

I'm reading this attached photo:

I read 344678R360554. If I read that wrong, I apologize. In any case, it should be easy to read the VIN off the car itself.

And that is indeed a Broadcast Card so the Lansing Bigfoot Buildsheet still eludes us.

And for those of you keeping score, these are the same Broadcast columns and codes shown in the Assembly Manual.

Where are the broadcast cards usually located and found?

Lol Joe, I guess one of us needs new glasses. I still see M, but with a dust speck on the right leg. Either way, it is a cool find! I sure wish I could find one of those in my W30.

Actually, I need a larger computer screen (I've got a very small VAIO laptop).

Sorry for the confusion.

I just hate getting new glasses. Bifocals cost a fortune. Here's something you can try if you're having trouble seeing the size of the image.
open the thumbnail and clik it to give you a separate screen.
Press the CTRL button on your keyboard and hold it down
Rotate your mouse wheel forward to increase the size of the image, backwards to restore it to where you can see normal size.

Anyway, it works for me. Unfortunately it only works on the computer...

It appears to be a K, if you look to the right there is another box titled ORDER NUMBER. That seems to very clearly be a K. Compare the two.

Good idea. I enhanced the size and the order number is definitely a K. By direct comparison the other one is an "M" - no doubt about it.

Zoom factor 600%

I agree. When magnified, you can clearly see what appears to be a gap in the ink on the RH leg of the "M", thus my earlier confusion.

It's definitely an M. Click on the picture it opens in another internet page. Lower right of the screen zoom by 300% and you can now see it. Also, it is not a K. Look in the order number and compare it to the K there. Definitely different.

I think they solved the controversy back in aught-12, ezman, but my two cents says it's an M also.
