Lug Wrench Codes
Hi Guys,
Were lug wrenches coded in any way. I can't find the original for my 70W and was looking online for a replacement. One guy mentioned an "O" code but didn't elaborate. If they are coded what's the correct code for a 70 442 application, and where is the code located?
thanks,
bob

I thought the guy was pulling your leg until I looked.
Here's an "O" coded lug wrench, it was with a '68-'72 Vista Cruiser jack that Sandy gave me.

The "O" stamp was for the Herbert E. Orr company of Paulding, OH. They produced most of the lug wrenches for GM back in the day. The plant is still in the same spot that I used to pass everyday on my paper route and they are still producing lug wrenchs. If you find any with the "E" stamp that stands for the Edgerton Stamping Company out of Edgerton, OH.

Pretty cool, I was wondering about that, thanks for the info.
I didn't think the "O" was for Oldsmobile.
