There is hope for our future

I was driving to look at a potential job this morning, it happens to be next to a high school. Look what was sitting in the parking lot...
It tells me two things...1. Some high school kid is cool enough to drive a wagon and not a ricer with a fart pipe...2. his father lets him drive it

That is great! It looks way to nice for a highschool kid to be his own car. Maybe it was his dads car and it got handed down.

What makes you think it was a kid taking it to school? Could it be the shop teachers car??? If it was a kid, boy are they lucky. That's a pretty nice Vista!!

I was thinking the same at first, but it was parked in what looked like a student lot, and that is Bishop Guirtin High School a private Catholic school (notice my nose in the air) I would bet they don't have a lowly "shop Class" at that high school too bad...

Weird, my daughter is a senior in high school and the first thing she showed me when I saw her today was a pic on her phone of a '78 Cadillac hearse in the student lot.
The kids parents own a mortuary and they got a new one, now the '78 is his ride. My daughter told me it was all original, has 57,000 miles, needs some work but not much, and is worth about 2 grand, not for sale right now. I raised her right.

That Vista isn't going to look good for long parked there, check out the football shaped dent on the Hondog hood and the goal posts right behind it. I think that is the same Vista that was sold a few years back at a dealer in PA or NY they were asking $12,500 for if I remember correctly.

I found the old for sale ad, I think it is from '05 or '06, must still have a few active brain cells. I knew I had seen one like it before but I'm not sure if it is the same car?

Wow, very good....I cannot remember half of what I told my kids yesterday...lol nevermind a sale post from '05 or '06

It sure looks like the car...if you notice the first pic it looks like the rear wheel has been changed

Some years ago I purchased a 83 H/O for my daughter....First day driving it senior year she came out after class to the school lot and saw a group of guys drooling over it and they wondered what guy owned it. To their surprise it was a chick...That was cool!

I was driving a 79 in about the same paint scheme in high school. God I loved that car Mildly built350th350 combo with a kit woodgrain, whitewalls and still wipe the 5.0's and iroc's all over the pavement. pissed off alot of the prepies and jocks at school. It was my dads at the time but I got it from him a couple years after I graduated. Had a slew of early and mid 60,s chubbies too (rust up to the door handles). Caught a ton of stuff for them but the next year a ton of classics started showing up in the lot. Started a lot of trends in school.Caught a lot of crap for them too, I'll never understand that. Sorry. I'm getting off topic. You never know who has it, but I imagine some one is loving it. I know I would be were it mine. I sure did the one I had.
