New colors for Twig's Choptop

Well we have painted the wife's car. We got rid of that awful Deliverance on the side too. I have looked at her car and noticed that with the short windshield and the long nose, which looks even longer with the short windshield It kinda looks like a WWII fighter. So that is the look we are going for. It is now OD green. It will also get a sharks mouth like on the P-40's of the Flying Tigers. It will also get a bomber girl leaning up against the rear of the front wheelwell.

YOU STOL MY IDEA!!! I have been thinking about doing something along those lines on my Kenworth since about two years before I ever owned it. I was going for a pale olive metallic with something resembling B17 markings and the typical nosecone art. neat color

Pretty neat. If you want to go all the way with that idea then replace the painted rear views with some small stainless items, replace the seats with "bomber style" buckets. Make extensive use of rivets either real or just painted on. I have seen older thirties cars done this way before and they really looked cool. I saw a mini pick up at a car show about four years ago done that way and he went all out with that theme. He stripped the interior and replaced all the plastic/carpeted/upholstered surfaces with riveted sheet aluminum, he had the bomber seats, a small bomb in the bed for a fuel tank, etc. Pretty cool. That theme has not been overused so it is still effective for show cars in my opinion.

We are unsure what we will be doing with the interior yet. I do know the wife doesn't like the bomber seat idea. SHe want's to be comfortable.

She's not the forum posting kinda person. Just not interested in it. But she is clearly liking her car alot more now so that may change.
