Wow nice, very nice! I like the color too. I was going to download a picture for my screensaver slide show I have of favorite stuff but decided to wait until you get a picture of the car with a nicer backdrop than a garage door. Is that dash faded? It looks to be a simulated woodgrain on the metal, is that so? Also, Is there a compass in the center of the steering wheel or is that just a horn button? It was worth the wait for the pictures. Thanks.

Rear seat heater, thats a new one on me. Have to look around and see if this was a factory option or dealer add on. Interesting

Yes it is although I first thought it was a '48 because that was the date on the title. Apparently there was a error in the past. I don't recall who but someone here helped me clear that up. I never bothered to change the title because it really doesn't make much difference to me, they are almost identical.

Ah yes, when we were young and the only place to have fun was the back seat of the car.....

Nah, I take my wife to Dialysis on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and she has to be there at 6 AM so we get up at 4:30 AM. Just like being in the service again....

Do you know if that rear heater is stock or not? I just thought that it could, might possibly, perhaps, be aftermarket. Is it electric or heated with water like the one on the firewall? If the latter then are the hoses routed under the floor pan or in the passenger compartment. Interesting to me and just wondering.

I have searched around and so far haven't found any information on a rear seat heater. Most likey an after market install. Sounds like a professional install with the hose sheild and all

Hey Tom sounds like a nice place. We currently live in Port St. Lucie just south of Vero. Don't know if you've been here lately but it has grown tremendously which I'm not to fond of. Of course the's alot of foreclosed houses because of the over development. You ever eat a Waycrazy's BBQ on Signal Mtn? Good stuff. Thank's for the invite, will keep it in mind. Gary

I'm still young enough to swing both ways there. A nice original would be hard to cut apart, but one that has already been cut...well that is another story. They are all before my time, but kind of fell in love with them any way. Back in the day I wanted to stretch a 48 chubby and turn it into a limo
