85 Olds Delta 88 Tranny crapped out
Wont go in reverse at all and barely will kick into gear to drive from a full stop.
I replaced the filter, fluid and o-ring about 1.5-2.0 years ago
How much should a rebuild cost??? any suggestions in Dallas TX shops????

Wow ... we are just blowing through transmissions this month. I suspect your car may be hiding a 200c under there. The standard (dealership) method of rebuilding one of those is to replace the case with one from a 350C .... and then fill it with the appropriate parts.

From the discussion in the two other transmission death threads, about $900. Plan to replace the torque convertor too. Keeping one after a transmission death is like taking a bath after your kids without washing the ring off the tub.

What does the fluid look like? Does is smell burned? Is it topped off?
Might be a stripped stator support(second set of gear/teeth toward the trans/pump. These are/should be replaced with a hardened piece when the trans is over hauled.

Bottom left is the input shaft, front n center is the stator support. The pump will have to come out to press the new support in. I would get a pair of hard rings, larger boost valves and a spring to get the pressures up. Just cheap insurance to help it last longer.
Won't know what you have until you pull it and inspect. But if the fluid is full, red and smells like trans fluid, this is what I would guess.
Let me know if you need more info.
