switch pitch conversion

Hi,
I can take the guts out of a sp 400 long shaft and transfer them into th 400 short shaft. Can I use the parts from a 66 Toronado sp 400 and put then into a th400 short shaft making it a sp400.

Thanks Bruce

Yes. I did this swap years ago, back when Kenne-Bell offered a kit. By the way, the Toro trans is a TH425.

X2

I bought the Kenne-Bell kit back in the mid-late 80's and installed it in a short shaft '68 TH400. It's worked great ever since.
